We had an absolute blast capturing Mark and Julie’s special day, starting with getting-ready photos in the hotel, followed by sweet family portraits of the bride before heading to St. James Catholic Church in McMinnville, Oregon for the ceremony.

One of our favorite moments was watching Julie’s brothers escort her down the aisle—each brother walked her partway, then handed her off to the next, creating an unforgettable entrance. After the ceremony, we took a few formal portraits at the church and then returned to The Allison Inn & Spa for a warm and welcoming reception. Although it was almost dark by the time we arrived, we still managed to capture a few beautiful couple photos outdoors—luckily, the Oregon rain held off! As the evening continued, everyone moved into the main dining area to enjoy a wonderful dinner. The synchronized way each table was served added a magical, elegant touch. After dinner, heartfelt speeches, a fun cake cutting, and lively dancing kept the celebration going strong. One standout moment was when Julie danced with each of her brothers—each brother took a turn before passing her along, creating a heartfelt alternative to a traditional father-daughter dance.

In fact, Mark and Julie graced the dance floor twice for couple dances—first at the start of the dancing, and then at 8pm to a Frank Sinatra tune, where Mark’s singing and enthusiasm took everyone’s breath away. The entire group danced late into the night, their energy never waning. We ended the celebration with a few more couple portraits within the cozy ambiance of The Allison Inn & Spa.
