Sightglass Photo + Films is a husband-and-wife wedding photography and videography team based in Portland, Oregon, for couples who want their day documented in a way that feels real — not stiff, staged, or performative. Our approach is calm, supportive, and people-first, with just the right amount of direction when you need it.
There is no right or wrong way to have a wedding — just the way you want to have it. We are here to support your day as it actually is, not pressure you into making it look like anyone else’s. With experience documenting over 500 weddings, we know how to keep things fun, easy, and moving smoothly while helping you have an amazing day. We bring a lot of experience, but never in a way that takes over. We are there to help things feel less stressful, not more stressful.
We pay attention to what actually matters — the in-between moments, the weird jokes, the deep breaths, the happy nerves, the people you love most, and the overall feeling of the day. We care less about perfection and more about making sure your photos feel like you. Our style blends documentary storytelling with clean, modern portraits. We step back when moments are unfolding naturally, and step in with simple guidance when it is helpful, especially if being in front of a camera does not come naturally. You will never be over-posed, rushed, or left wondering what to do.

We’re Eric (he/him) and Amber (she/her), a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based in Portland, Oregon—with a slightly different story than most. Before we ever met, we each ran our own established wedding photography businesses, with years of experience already behind us.
We met at a wedding industry networking meeting, became friends, and—unexpectedly—fell in love about a month later. After photographing a full wedding season separately, we decided to merge our two businesses into Sightglass Photography.
Eric is drawn to clean, intentional fine art imagery, while Amber focuses on photojournalism and storytelling. Together, we blend both approaches—capturing a handful of refined, artful portraits while documenting your day honestly and as it actually unfolds.
We’re also big believers in clear timelines and thoughtful time-blocking, which means we never overbook, never rush, and can give every couple the attention and experience they deserve.

Amber loves sci-fi movies and TV, with a soft spot for Mad Men, The X-Files, and the occasional 90-Day-Fiancé-level trash TV. She’s usually watching YouTube documentaries, spending time on social media, lurking on Reddit, or learning something new. Music-wise, she listens to everything—but New Wave and Disco have her heart.

Eric loves learning about science and technology, experimenting with 3D printing, playing video games, listening to EDM, and cooking.

We both love Rick & Morty, pizza, Mexican food, coffee, random adventures, solving problems, and learning new things. We’re big on friends, family, bringing joy to others, and our fur child Chloe—a 29-lb, 12-year-old Chihuahua/Corgi mix we adopted and are completely obsessed with.

We’re comfortable working across a wide range of communication styles, personalities, and traditions, and we intentionally create an environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and supported. We proudly work with LGBTQ+ couples and believe wedding photo and video coverage should feel inclusive, thoughtful, and human.
We’re also body-inclusive and believe everyone deserves to feel good in front of the camera. Whether you’re camera-shy or love the spotlight, we meet you where you are and offer guidance that helps you feel comfortable and at ease.
We also know how important communication is — especially when you’re planning a wedding. We respond quickly (usually under 18 hours), we’re happy to help you plan the timeline, and we always show up early. We’re reliable, experienced, and really good at getting group shots done fast so you can get back to enjoying the party.
Our approach is simple: we want you to feel comfortable, seen, and at ease — and to walk away with images that bring you right back to the emotions of the day. Couples often tell us, “You captured moments we didn’t even know we’d want to remember,” which is exactly what we hope for every wedding we photograph.
