What if I don’t value something and don’t want to hire an experienced professional?

Back to a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. We have seen plenty of times of couples doing something themselves and having it be fine. Having a friend manage a playlist is something we have seen work out well most of the time. And then we have also seen an inexperienced hair and makeup artist set the wedding back hours. There are ways to work with and counter all of these things, it’s just a matter of understand all the moving pieces. With a hair and makeup artist, make sure they know how many people they are doing and have a good idea of what each look it going to involve. And in the case of music, if you just want background music or the person you are thinking of doing it knows music, you are probably fine. But if you want someone to MC or you want them to drive getting people on the dance floor, then we definitely recommend a DJ.
