Our favorite Place to get a great view of downtown Portland is Eastbank Esplanade which is a pedestrian and bicycle path along the east shore of the Willamette River. Planning a surprise wedding proposal in Portland, Oregon can be tricky but with a little planning and direction from an experienced photographer you can execute on the big surprise and get spectacular photos.

We also go incognito and look like tourists (or we hide depending on the location) so your partner has no idea that you have photographers waiting for the moment.

Portlands lock of love on the Eastbank Esplanade is the perfect place to put a lock after asking “Will you marry me?” as a public fixture to symbolize your special day. A love lock is a padlock which people link to a fixture such as the railing shown as a display of love. It’s a really cool symbol of unbreakable love and something fun you can come back to look at in the future to relive the memory of this special day.
