We’re Sightglass Photo + Films (AKA Sightglass Photography), a husband-and-wife team offering wedding photography and videography across Oregon and beyond. Based in Portland, we work with couples who want their wedding documented honestly — without pressure, performance, meaning you don’t have to put on a show for the camera. Our approach is calm, observant, and people-first. We care less about perfection and more about how your day actually feels. That means paying attention to real interactions, quiet moments, dry humor, nervous laughter, and the connections that matter most — not just the highlights.
With 25+ years of combined experience and hundreds of weddings photographed across Oregon, we’ve worked in just about every kind of setting and timeline. From Portland city weddings to Columbia River Gorge celebrations, coastal elopements, forest ceremonies, and backyard weddings throughout the Willamette Valley, we know how to adapt, anticipate, and keep things moving without adding stress.
Our style blends documentary storytelling with clean, modern portraiture. We step back when moments are unfolding naturally, and we step in with clear, efficient direction when it’s helpful — especially during portraits or for couples who don’t love being in front of the camera. You’ll never be over-posed, rushed, or left wondering what to do.

We are Eric (he/him) and Amber (she/her), a husband & wife wedding photographer team out of Portland, Oregon with a different story than most. Both of us actually had our own established wedding photography businesses, with years of experience behind us, before we ever met. We met each other at a wedding networking meeting, became friends and then fell in love in about a month of meeting each other. After a wedding season we merged our 2 businesses into Sightglass Photography. Eric really loves taking fine art images while amber loves showing your day through photojournalism and together we have blended out styles to give you a few fine art images while telling the story of your day through photos. We are very good at time blocking to ensure we don’t spread ourselves too thing and prove the best client experience to all our clients.

We work with all kinds of couples and all kinds of weddings — big or small, formal or casual, loud or low-key. We’re comfortable working across a wide range of communication styles, personalities, and traditions, and we intentionally create an environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and supported. We proudly work with LGBTQ+ couples and believe wedding photo and video coverage should feel inclusive, thoughtful, and human.
We’re also body-inclusive and believe everyone deserves to feel good in front of the camera. Whether you’re camera-shy or love the spotlight, we meet you where you are and offer guidance that helps you feel comfortable and at ease.
We also know how important communication is — especially when you’re planning a wedding. We respond quickly (usually under 18 hours), we’re happy to help you plan the timeline, and we always show up early. We’re reliable, experienced, and really good at getting group shots done fast so you can get back to enjoying the party.
Our approach is simple: we want you to feel comfortable, seen, and at ease — and to walk away with images that bring you right back to the emotions of the day. Couples often tell us, “You captured moments we didn’t even know we’d want to remember,” which is exactly what we hope for every wedding we photograph.

We could not have asked for a better photography team than Amber and Eric! We met them at a friend's wedding, and so loved their vibes and the pictures they captured from our friend's special day. So, when we decided to have our own re-do wedding, we reached out to them immediately. They have been so easy to work with, so much fun, and so professional. They completely put us at ease and stayed with us the entire time. After we got our photos I was amazed at how many moments of pure joy they captured.
