Oregon Coast Engagement | Yamini + Pramod

Yamini & Pramod’s Oregon Coast engagement session started at Hug Point and ended at Haystack Rock. Hug Point State Park, is a coastal park located near Cannon Beach, Oregon. Long ago the only way to traverse that stretch of coastline was on the on the beach itself. Due to the point they had to wait for low tide and for the wagons to “hug” the rocks to get around. Now the park is known for it’s beauty, and offers a variety of scenic backdrops including rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and crashing waves, making it a popular location for engagement sessions. The high cliffs help with blocking the wind that can often be very strong. With the Oregon coast you never know what the weather will be like until the day of. We get really lucky that day, as there was no wind and was sunny! For the part at Hug Point, Yamini & Pramod started with a fun and causal outfit, then changed when it got closer to sunset into more romantic and formal attire.

We love it when clients have two very different looks for their adventure session as it mixes up creating two very different looks in the final images. After catching some stunning images at Hug Point we drove down to Haystack Rock for some darker, more romantic images as the sun was setting. Haystack Rock is very close to Yemeni’s heart as it was where she first experienced the Oregon Coast. Haystack Rock is 235-foot tall sea stack located in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The rock is home to a variety of bird and marine life, including puffins, cormorants, and sea stars. The rugged, natural beauty of the Oregon Coast provides a stunning backdrop for capturing romantic moments. Something to know about the Oregon Coast is after the sunset it can get very cold, very quick (summer is the only season this is not as true) so we highly recommend bringing a jacket or blanket to wear back to the car.
